Lowe's has become my favorite shopping destination...watch out JCrew...ok maybe not, but I do really enjoy getting stuff for the house!  Tomorrow we begin laying tile.  My dad came down for the week and is going to be helping us out:)  He is such a great Dad!  Jon spent the weekend pulling out the flooring that was origanally in there to get it ready for the tile.  And I have been painting like crazy, paint I have discovered, makes a world of difference and is so simple! I love that, paint something!

So this house is our blessing from the Lord, I know he brought it to us.  To my friends who are in a season of waiting, hold on!  The Lord has something far better in store for you if you will just hold on!

A hug may be the greatest thing here on earth...something about being on the inside of a hug makes every worry disapear.

I was given an oppurtunity this week to give a hug to someone whos world had come crumbly down around her.  I was leary to give her a  hug, I didn't really know her...but I felt that gentle leading to just go for it.  Her response suprised me, she held me so tight and just wept.

Don't ever underestimate the importance of human touch, it can be sustaining in a difficult time.  So go the extra mile today and give someone a hug, get outside of what is comfortable for you, take a step into someone else's world, you may be suprised what happens

A month without Jon

I am so blessed, Jon is such an amazing husband.  This is week 2 of the Master's Commissions camp adventures.  They are working at a camp for foster children.  I am so excited for him.  I can't help but believe that it will be a time of growth!  Keep the MC in your prayers!  They have been running like crazy and I know they are exhausted!

So I am manning the home front these days, which has proved to be interesting since we are in the middle of buying our house.  I have learned more about crawl spaces, subfloors, and siding than can possibly ever be useful:) But this weekend we did take some time to go to Lowes and check some stuff for our new crib:):)  Dreaming and imagining...lots of fun to do with one's soul mate!

Be blessed...

Ok, four 12 hour days in a row is long!  I am tired out:)  But I have a great job and am blessed! Jon is right in the middle of week 2 at summer camp, and he is loving it.  The Master's Commission is doing the worship this week and they like always are doing an amazing job!

So I am nervous, tommorrow I have to drive the church van with trailer to pick up food for our big food distribution event...the van I can handle but adding the trailer may prove to be a challenge...it will be an adventure:)

Friday night two former students of MC are getting married!  I am so excited for them and partly for my own selfish reasons...because I love going to weddings!  A celebration of the blessed alliance ordained and blessed by God is always so much fun:)

Today is the first of many Jonless days in my life, I am so blessed to have Jon in my life.  He is my steady strength and comfort.  This was the first of four weeks at camp.  So I will see him on the weekend but other than that,  Maddie and I hae to fend for our selves!  Oh and Reba too, in case you didn't know we have a cat too...don't ask it was Jon's idea.  So to add to life, Jon and I bought a house on saturday, that sounds so casual when really it was a super huge decision for us.  It took us forever to decide but once we did we both really felt a peace it even has infiltrated our apartment and I trust that is God's blessing.  I am so glad for it to because I hate sleeping alone in my old age:)  Anyway, that is our life in a nut shell:)
